comtech.com sold for 60,000 US dollars. Why that much?

Comtech.com was sold for 60,000 US dollars at the Sedo domain marketplace and it has to be an end user deal. I was really surprised to see the domain sale price and I tried to find out why it was sold for that much.

I googled “comtech” and I found out that there are quite a few companies with “comtech” in their company names. e.g. Comtech services, comtech antenna, comtech telecom etc…

There were over 3 million search results for “comtech” and it is a pretty good domain sale and I am impressed with the domain seller. I don’t think many domainers would be willing to pay in even high x,xxx for this name due to its potential problems with trademark issues etc…
