Is FreshDrop a joke?

I was at the FreshDrop website but when I looked at the domain sales at Ebay, it was just funny to see domains like google.com for sale at $1,500, Game.com for sale at $10, car.com for sale at $1 etc…

When I clicked to buy “Toy.com” for $10, hoping to see an IDN , I found out that it was only “TarotCardGame.com ” and not an IDN related to “toy.com”.

What is happening with FreshDrop ? Are they making jokes or what? I think FreshDrop needs to address this.

Thick.com sold for 10,000 US dollars. Bargain for buyer?

It was noted that thick.com was sold for 10,000 US dollars and I think it was a bargain for the buyer.

It is a brandable domain and could be used for many things. There are around 50,000 EXACT searches per month for the keyword “thick” and I think the domain would recieve some type in on daily basis.

The buyer would be happy with the price he or she paid. Real bargain!

It is very much interesting to see a French domain sale in decent price range. Lundi.fr was sold for 50,000 Euros (nearly $70,000) and it is a very good domain sale. The domain was sold at Sedo domain marketplace.

There are 60 million google search results for “Lundi” and it means “Monday” in English.

Any way, it was a good .Fr (French) domain sale.

Another end user sale? orbion.com went for 25,000 US dollars

Most likely, this domain was bought by an end user. Orbion.com was sold for 25,000 US dollars. The domain was sold at Sedo domain marketplace.

I researched about “orbion” keyword. In google, there are only over 91,000 search results. orbion.cz is a developed website with Alexa ranking just under 90,000.

It was a very good domain sale indeed. Most likely, it was an end user sale in my opinion.

Cashed.com sold for xx,xxx range

Another past tense “–ed” domain sale went for xx,xxx range and it was Cashed.com domain sold for $11,000. The domain was sold at Sedo domain marketplace and the domain had been registered since 1999 and current registrar is Godaddy.

When I checked at google keyword tool, “cashed” keyword had been searched around ONLY 1,000 times per month (EXACT search) but the click per cost is around $1.55 per click. The domain is ideal for development.

I have seen a few past tense domain sales in the past and I think Cashed.com for $11,000 is a good domain sale.

comtech.com sold for 60,000 US dollars. Why that much?

Comtech.com was sold for 60,000 US dollars at the Sedo domain marketplace and it has to be an end user deal. I was really surprised to see the domain sale price and I tried to find out why it was sold for that much.

I googled “comtech” and I found out that there are quite a few companies with “comtech” in their company names. e.g. Comtech services, comtech antenna, comtech telecom etc…

There were over 3 million search results for “comtech” and it is a pretty good domain sale and I am impressed with the domain seller. I don’t think many domainers would be willing to pay in even high x,xxx for this name due to its potential problems with trademark issues etc…

Apple Tablet on the Slate

Today’s announcement by Cupertino techmaker Steve Jobs will start a run on domain names with “slate” or “tablet” in the keywords. Smart domainers have already done their Apple shopping, focusing on tablet names and keywords like “store’, shop” and “tech”. With a color screen, wi-fi and3G surfing and email capability, this all-purpose tech device should sell at about $1K, priced just right for credit enabled tech first adopters.

Apple’s Iphone penetrated every market it went into, and the tablet or slate product has futuristic edge with everyday practical uses. Domainers, to your registrars!
