    I think the new laws could only be a good thing and will be mostly sucessfull.

    Yeah this would be a good step, but the credit card companies have made great efforts to do anything they can to charge crazy interest rates and penalties and get as much money before this bill takes effect. Also they are going to accept much less applications.
