Is it good news because Frank Schilling starts selling domains?

I read a news about Frank Schilling selling the doamin Lottery.net for $220,000 brokered by Sedo domain marketplace (reported by thedomains.com). I think it is good news that Frank Schilling starts selling domains because he would set the standard up for the domain sale prices. I don’t believe he would sell his domains cheap because he likes to keep his domains as much as possible.
The more domains Frank Schilling sells his domains, the better for the domainers in general especially if he discloses his domain sale prices.

I hope he will disclose his sales..
Yes, public disclosure of domain sales gives some relative valuation for the industry though each transaction is unique depending on the motivations of the buyer and seller.
Hi,
I agree… but sometimes it is just plain “good business”…to kept a private domain sales price…well…private.
But, I too like to see the prices & behind the scene’s stuff…just as much as the next person.
I cannot find it now…but on his blog or somewhere in comments section or somewhere else…LOL
Frank said even though he currently is selling some domains…he is also buying even more domains than he is currently selling.
This was the case within 25 days ago or so.
So, in case someone was getting the idea Frank…was somehow, “down on domains”…I would think again.
BTW: 220K for ANY .net is a good sale in my book…good time’s or in really crappy economic times such as we find are selves in. IMHO
Pumping a bunch of money into a .net ~ just gives free traffic to who ever owns the .com IMHO
I would have taken “cowboys .com” for 300K ALL day long….and that was sold in much better economic times. (I wonder if Jerry Jones ever found out about the %^$$up)?
Just by “redirecting” to: dallascowboys .com….they could have made back 300K in less than a year…not to mention cowboys .com is a much better ‘Branding’ etc… name.
Lets see:
cowboys .com for 300K with 2k – 4k daily “type-in” traffic
OR,
lottery .net for 220K….. with “type-in” traffic pretty low..if any.
I will have to give that one a LOT of thought…LOL
Peace!
Dan
