It was mentioned that Poker.org was sold by National A-1 and the domain sale was brokered by Sedo according to the reports. 3) There are many domainers including myself who believe that .org is a good extension next to .com or popular CCtld such as .de, .co.uk etc…

4) PokerCompany.com ,which reportedly bought the domain, run websites including EveryPoker.com, InsideBet.com, Craps.net, Blackjack.org, Rakeback.org and Loyalty.net and it was stated that the websites are visited by thousands of unique visitors per day. May be they are able to make that much money within a matter of weeks or months.

5) When I visited today, it was stated that the website would open soon. It was not redirected as before. The domain has been registered since 1997 and currently at Network Solutions and it has private email address.

Candy.com sold for 3 million dollars

Candy.com was sold for 3 million dollars and Rick Schwartz sold the domain to a US candy maker. According to the news, Rick Schwartz will also receive an ongoing percentage of sales. Rick said the candy company is not Hershey’s and it is a candy company which will do a candy show in Chicago soon.

Candy.com domain sale is massive deal for a one word domain like this. The domain went that much possibly due to being a category killer.

“Candy” keyword searched over 800,000 times per month and I am sure there are a lot of type in visitors to the domain.

Any way, it demonstrated that good domains are still striving in this time of difficult economy.

Dollars.com sells big in 2009

A huge domain sale has alerted domain portfolio managers in the know to an opportunity in the current domain market.

Sedo Sells Dollars.com for Over $380,000 in the Second Biggest Sale Reported So Far in 2009

The conomic downturn felt globally has mapped the domainmarket in turn. Even bullish market watchers have been selling down their domain portfolios in recent auctions.

But big ticket domain sales have been unique milestones going so far in 2009. Sedo.com hit one deep this week though as they handled a €302,500 ($381,150) sale of Dollars.com.

But Dollars.com sold for more in July of 2007 when it was purchased by Switzerland’s Virtual Network SA for $650,000. Is this an exemplar for all big concept dot com names?

The Dollars.com domain name has been monetized in different ways since the 2007 sale (including PPC) but it’s not likely that it earned enough over the past 19 months to offset a price drop of more than $268,000 in the latest sale.

SEDO continues to be the big online name outlet for offloading big domain names.

Other sales include PZ.com at $61,000 and #4 Trusted.com at $50,000. Trusted.com is a resale too but the latest sale represents a 33% jump over the $37,500 that was paid for the domain in a Moniker live auction at T.R.A.F.F.I.C. in November 2006.
