Chinese Firm to Buy Godaddy.com?

China and its leading Google competitors may soon be shopping down Godaddy’s lane. Bob Parsons may need to be raising some extra cash because Godaddy.com is up on the auction block. Reliable news or rumor? Domainers were stunned today when the Wall Street Journal announced the celebrated blog-era registrar and massive hosting company Godaddy.com is for sale.
Priced at about 9or over) $1 billion, Godaddy owns a significant share of both all internet domain name business and beginner-to-intermediate web hosting enterprises online. Domainers mourned that the days of the dollar discount and Godaddy coupon codes may sadly be over. Whomever buys Godaddy will have 43 million domain name contracts with ICANN intact, and the owners reading their new partner’s email at rapt attention.
Godaddy is in decent shape for an auction. The company posted revenue (after a few choppy years in a row) between $750 million and $800 million in 2009, and has a whopping 50% of web hosting market share hands down. This is one of the healthiest industries in America today.
Godaddy enjoys a reputation among online customers a reliable warhorse with flexible hosting plans for every level of computer user. Domain names and bundled third party applications canted at the beginner webmaster through the career website administrator regularly accompany domain sales.
The Scottsdale, Arizona company offers tiered web hosting services and discount-code name promotions that have kept Godaddy hopping with the general public and industry regulars.Internet pricing wars between web hosting companies led Godaddy to scale its offerings in every shape and size, including online carts, forums, security, and traffic building.
After several hard years shaking off many smaller hosting competitors, and promotional representation by Danica Patrick (et.al) Godaddy is archly the common friend/enemy of most domainers. Yet almost every domain name owner has a Godaddy account and/or hosting plan. Godaddy antics have been chewed over in the blogosphere by domainer cognoscienti daily.
Why sell Godaddy.com now? Speculators wonder if Parsons is low on cash or simply looking to take a profit in the best domainer tradition. Google has been suggested as a buyer, but more interesting acquisitions of Godaddy.com might be by Oracle, a company long rumored to try and match its hardware industry presence with online services and interactive client sales potential.
Certainly Oracle (or Sun, for that matter) could power their Sparcstations with self telephony and owned packets for a lower price that leased VPS or whatever redundancy they have now. If Hewlett Packard somehow assembled a leadership squad, then they might arise anew as the Internet business phoenix of all time.
Could Conde Nast or Trump be thinking of expanding online?
Or could China, newly emerging as the era’s leading moneymaker, pick off Godaddy and suddenly own 50% of the Western world’s hosting files? If a China firm marshals one of the private equity bidders to acquire the webhost monolith, China could grasp a tenterhook on Western media and global consumer eyeballs in a one-check power play. (And become Paypal’s new best friend).
Godaddy.com goes on sale shopped by Qatalyst Partners of London and San Francisco. (Danica Patrick not included).

Those who might say the geo market and the dot net market are all washed up can celebrate the sale of Italy.net , co brokered by a career domainer with Andrew Rosener (of Mediaoptions com). Italy.net had been listed at $75,000 at MO in early July …and had also been a lot entry in Latona’s live Milan TRAFFIC auction in April. The dot-net for geo names and proper country and city names remains vibrant, even into the dot-net and beyond. The short .net vends for $52 at a price point good for both buyer and seller.

The domain auction for DentalInsuranceComparison.com is nearly over with only 5 hours to go. I can’t believe there is only one bid so far (reserve met with very low reserve). You would not get a second chance to get this kind of quality business domain name.
Petinsurancecomparison.com was sold for $11,100 recently and there are strong demand for “insurance” related keyword domains.
Why don’t you have a look at the Sedo domain auction (only over 4 hours left) , visit here at DentalInsuranceComparison.com domain auction link.

Recently there have been a huge interest in the “insurance” domain names thanks to the recent discovery of the sale of Insurance.com for over $35 million dollars. There is currently an insurance domain running at Sedo domain marketplace. The domain is DentalInsuranceComparison.com and currently the bid (reserve met) is very low.
Petinsurancecomparison.com was sold for $11,100 and if you compare with that price, current reserve or bid is very, very low.

Insurance .info domain sale; insurancequote.info domain sold in low xx,xxx

After I have read an interesting news about the acquisition of Insurance.com website for around $35 million US dollars by a business firm, I don’t find it surprising to see the domain sale of InsuranceQuote.info for low xx,xxx range. The domain was sold through Sedo domain market place and the sale was mentioned at Dnjournal.com domain sale column this week.
It was interesting news because I recently acquired InsuranceComparison.com (development in the process). Both “insurance quote” and “insurance comparison” got high CPC (cost per click) over $15 per click. “Insurance comparsion” was searched around half of the search volume of “insurance quote” keyword. But after analysing the keywords, I think “insurance comparison” is better than “insurance quote (because of being singular and not plural keyword)” and this insurance .info domain sale even makes me harder to part with my domain.

It was interesting to see the domain sale of Tracker.at for over $20,000 recent. The domain, Tracker.at was exactly sold for 18,000 Euros and it is equivalent to $23,235. It was an impressive sale for a .at (Austria) domain. I could recall Job.at was sold in xxx,xxx range a few months ago.
I have registered following .at domains a few months ago when Eurodns was offering a massive discount on .at domains (registered until 2017).
Theme.at
Consolidation.at
Diagnosis.at
Grocery.at
Impotence.at
Medication.at
Practice.at
Settle.at
Slimming.at
Submitted.at
Accepted.at

The domain, YYY.com was sold for mid xx,xxx and it was a rare LLL.com domain sale. The domain was EXACTLY sold at $45,444 and it was through Sedo domain marketplace. There are only 26 such LLL.com domains and I think it is a fair price for both seller and the buyer. It is also brandable LLL.com domain as well.
Sec.de Germany domain sold in six figure range

It was interesting to see a six figure domain sale of Sec.de for 136,850 EURO (around $177,126.75 US dollars). The domain was sold at the Sedo domain marketplace. Even though it was a good LLL.de, I thought it was a bit too much for such a .de domain because I believed even Sec.com would not be worth that much money.
A good domain sale for the domain seller.
.co domain names. 5 of my generic one word preorders were successful.

I was not into .co domain names until last 5 days or so ago. I thought I would not want to risk $300 per domain. But I became interested in preordering .co domains 5 days or so ago. Therefore I started looking into preordering the .co domain names but surprisingly most of the popular generic .co domains had been already preordered.
I was only able to put 15 to 20 .co domain preorders and today I confirmed that I got the following .co domains.
Fridges.co
Refrigerators.co
Boiler.co
Freezers.co
Heaters.co
I am confident that I would have some interest for my above .co domains. I have plans to develop these domains but if I receive the right offers before I have time to develop them, may consider selling them individually or as a group. I am more positive after learning that there was a six figure sale for a .co domain recently.
